MONDAY
NIGHT MEETINGS
Our normal Beaver night is a Monday and we have
a mixture of games, scout training, badge work, craft and sport. We
also have some theme evenings and during the summer we often have trips
out or do outdoor activities.
There is a range of badges
for the Beavers to try for and we give as much assistance / training
/ opportunities as possible for them to achieve as many as they can.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
As Beavers we are limited to what we do outdoors
because of time. We only meet for an hour, because of the age of the
youngsters. During that hour the Beavers have as much fun as we can
give them in an hour.
We do go out on visits and over the park as well. When we have our group
open day the Beavers also get to do some boating.
The Beavers are only allowed to camp for 24 hours and this is indoors
only. But we try to give them at least two of these a year. One of which
is at District camp with loads of activities laid on for them like Rifles,
Archery, Swimming, Badge Making, Sports and Games.
We enter all the District activities arranged for the Beavers including
the sports day, Uni- Hoc, Football, Halloween, Easter Egg Hunt. We also
attend the cubs carol service every year as well.
